My iTunes:  A Friend Like You by Joshua Radin

Greetings all!  I am finally  posting again.  I have about ten sessions that are ready to be posted here but NO TIME!  I will get to them all…I promise.  Thanks for all your compliments about my recent posts.  I am getting more comfy with my photographers hat on these days and really finding my style…my niche.  It has been a blast to learn and grow and many of you have been along for the ride which has been so fun!

Meet Kaitlyn Rory.  I didn’t ask her if I could use her middle name but I don’t think she will mind.  We headed down to Agnes Scott College in Decatur where she attends for a photo session.  By the way, it is beautiful there…great for shooting.  Kaitlyn is putting together a portfolio and needed some fresh shots.  We had a great time together and she just leaps off the page on these images.  I love them.  You did a great job Kaitlyn!

My iTunes:  Late by Ben Folds

What a fun day!  This session was given to the parents from their kids as a gift and the locations were a surprise which made it even more fun.  I hope by the images you can tell how much fun we had getting shots and coming up with ideas.  One of the reasons I love to photograph family sessions is I love to watch the closeness.  As a mom, I love to see brothers and sisters that love each other….and more importantly, I love to capture that for them to see for themselves.  It totally translates in pictures.

I have to make a specific comment about that last image of this post.  Katie is a friend of my daughter and such a wonderful girl…ecclectic and fun.  I have been witness to her zest for life and it is contagious!  I noticed that day, she had written “satisfied” across her ring finger signifying her hope in Jesus Christ.  What a wonderful declaration to make!  A nice reminder that I need to make daily.  Thanks Katie.

“Because you have satisfied me, God, I promised to do everything you say.”

My iTunes:  Love Is A Bridge by The Museum

Meet Kaitlin.  I did this shoot several months ago for her mom who is a dear, dear friend.  She has been swimming since she was a kid and to put it frankly…she’s good folks.  Real good.  Currently looking towards the London 2012 Olympics, she works hard and just keeps getting better.  Completely unassuming and kind, she is a gem of a girl.  I was thrilled to take these images of her as a snapshot in time.  She stands in the place she has been swimming for years, probably one of the places she feels most comfortable.  My hopes and wishes for her is that the world can know her as we all do.

Good work Kaitlin!  Keep it up and I will follow you to London in 2012!
