Wandering…

The streets of London Town

My iTunes: For The Moments I Feel Faint by Relient K

My favorite thing to do here? OK, besides look up and take pics off center? Wander the streets. Whether I am in my neighborhood on the Hill or down in the city, there isn’t a place in the world like London. I snapped this while I was in the city. While walking through a maze of narrow streets, you find buildings like this a lot, some have just painted doors, some have painted the entire facade. The streets are clean and the flowers are in their rightful position adorning the windows up high. Make sure to click the image above to embiggen (thanks Carmi!) and see the Ye Old Print Shop.

I am headed out on a fantastic journey for a few days with my better half. I am so excited that I am about to burst. I will not be posting while I am gone and will catch up on my posts and commenting when I return. My husband has made me promise to power off for the duration of our trip…something about relaxing and being on vacation! What is that?!?! I am hoping to come back with some exciting images to share. I can give only one hint until then….I will be wandering there as well!

Take care friends & have a wonderful week!

My iTunes: Somewhere Only We Know by Keane

This hardly ever happens in London, the home of 8 million people…a clear and sunny afternoon, I go to the tube stop….and it’s essentially empty! It must have been my lucky day! A perfect picture taking opportunity had dropped right in my lap. I really love it when that happens! So here they are…I hope you like them.

Hope you are well wherever you are in this world!

Compliments and Lines

A High on Lines

My iTunes: Can’t Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers

In my post from June 19th called Satisfying My Habit, I shared with you an image of lines and reflections. I had snapped the shot as I was standing in a common area under a building in the city. Some of the most beautiful images I have captured have been after I have looked up. I know all of you know that fact. The above image is standing just outside that same building. I think it is just as cool as the first one.

I was nominated for a blogger award by my friend Julie. You can check out her photoblog called The Compulsive Worrier by clicking here. She nominated me for the “Rockin’ Girl Blogger” award. I am not sure what it exactly means other than I LOVE the title….SO I ACCEPT! Here is the nice paragraph she wrote about me on her blog…

Anna is an American photographer living with her family in London - she has a fantastic eye for an unusual angle and she has taught me to always look up in case I miss something great. I never fail to feel better after a visit to her blog; Anna is one of those people who just inspire you and enrich your life. It’s not just her photos, it’s what she says and the way she says it. I’m so enjoying seeing my own country through her eyes.

Wow! Thanks Julie…it was so nice what you wrote. Your country is beautiful and I am thrilled you are seeing your country through my eyes (or lens)…it is a pleasure for me to share what I see day to day. In the next few days, I will nominate my favorite girlie bloggers as well. This is going to be hard!

Take care everyone!
